...he has come in an inherited a bunch of disgruntled losers. Some good footballers. Some flattering to deceive.

Is the 4-1-2-3 style the one he most likes to play? He flirted with a 5 at the back at one stage which clearly didn't work. That could be down to the players as much as the system.

He has been limited as to what systems he can play and has had to really play a system that suits the players and for the great escape run he found the right formula.

Come September he will have more of the players he wants. Able to play the way he wants.

    Should be interesting.

I hope that Colback decides to stay...He is areal asset to this club of ours and it would be criminal for us to have to give him away for nowt..

I don't see how 5 at the back wouldn't work. You would however need a preseason to work on it and not switch to it mid season for it to be a success. And is 4-1-2-3 not just a variation 4-3-3? I think a lot of people are too bothered with a fancy name for a formation.

Having not seen his Brighton side play much for all I know he may love 4-4-2

    Like a high pressure game,

Seeing who we bring in will be interesting.

The value of assets the club have let go for nothing this summer is criminal. Probably flushed up to £15 million away.
