I was thinking about this the other day, and seriously can't think of a single Arsenal goal was that really stands out this season, especially in the league. Seriously it's weird, because normally there is at least one goal that stands out. Last season, we had the RVP volleys and the season before, we had the Arshavin winner against Barca.

Anyone want to give me some examples of outstanding Arsenal goals this season?

The Cazorla goal against Man Utd was decent, nothing more. I can't even remember the Giroud goal against Reading!!

    Walcott vs Newcastle
    Podolski vs West Ham
Both of our new strikers first goals in the PL.
Mertesacker's first goal for the team against Sp*rs
    Koscielny vs Manchester City
Cazorla vs West Ham (both games)
Also that gem of a goal by Podolski against Southampton. What a free kick that was.

It's a game of opinions, but for me none of those goals were anything special.

I reckon theo's Newcastle goal, and maybe Podolski's free kick against Soton.

Arteta's vs QPR for the wrong reasons too.

It might be helpful if you gave examples of what you thought a spectacular goal is. I have a feeling that you are going to go for long range shots, and if that is the case, I think we have been lacking in that area this year as well. We certainly don't have anyone that can thump a 20yard+ effort into the top corner right now.

We got the fastest goal of the season in the PL on Saturday. That's a stat that will be remembered (unless someone beats it of course).

Totally agree with the OP, it just shows what a season to forget this has been. No surprise victories, no rival victories (apart from vs 10 men Spuds). Last season there were quite a few times that got me out of my seat, RVP's winner vs Liverpool, Walcott's 2nd vs Spuds, Henry vs Leeds, Vermaelen vs Newcastle (went mental for that goal). This season there has been nothing. Nothing that has left me buzzing after a match. I did go a bit crazy when Walcott got his hat trick goal vs Reading in the C1C but sadly that goal was in vain as we had our pants pulled down by the mighty Bradford in the next round.
