Wanting career progression is one thing, but why oh why would you ever see ARSEnal as the place to develop. Mr Wenger has not exactly got an exemplary track record in developing English youngsters, to be fair to him-just the opposite. They are losing players (many through greed masquerading as desire for trophies) to other clubs as these players are bored of how he does things. In the "interview" he claims to want to take the next step, when we all know that the next step with Arsenal is an extended period of benchwarming whilst being overtaken in the pecking order by average players from France or the Ivory Coast.....atleast if he is going to leave us prematurely, he could have the common decency to go to a club where he will develop through playing regularly and not pigeon holed into a position someone else wants him to play. Alex, do us a favour and make a decision for yourself, and try not to be driven by your money hungry parent......

I remember I seen Cortese walking into the stadium the day of the Walsall game and his shoes are fantastic.
If he wants to leave then fair play to him, especially for that kind of money. Sad to see him go but not annoyed. I'll be more annoyed if the money isn't spend wisely but I have faith in who makes those kind of decisions.
Is this a live TV interview we are talking about? Or perhaps a live radio interview perhaps? Maybe it is a statement off the Saints site? No............then why the bloody hell don't we wait for such a statement to come out? We are no better than the media kicking out this rubbish. Players are not allowed to give interviews without express permission from the club. If they do they are in breach of their contract and it would cost them dear. Lallana is more of the finished product than Chamberlain so why are they not carrying on the barrage about him? Cortese has said he will not do business over chamberlain he has still go a couple of years on his contract to run. Now this time next year might just be a different kettle of fish!!
Sshh.. don't mention Lallana! Chamberlain is acting as a great distraction... We can afford to loose Chamberlain much more than we can afford to loose Lallana. I would be far more gutted if he left because he's much more of an influential player. Let the press rave about Chambo and let Prem clubs fight NC to purchase him, because while all of that is going on, our actual squad weapon, Adam Lallana will still be here come September.
