As a city fan, I have been used to looking at the table, and thinking we need a favour off other teams to help us out. Recently though, I have just been looking at our position and those above us,wondering if they are catchable. Is it me getting complacent/carried away? Is it the new feel good atmosphere/approach that the team seems to have?
I think you have to live in the moment and be positive. Whilst I won't really be relaxed until we hit 40 points, I do look at The teams within two wins and wonder if we can catch them. And as we have to play them again that makes it more achievable. If we hit a bit of bad form then I'll live in that moment. And as opposed to 2005, I'm sure we are looking at tomorrows game with a certain degree of optimism, injuries permitting.
we are as good as the teams around us, much better than those at the bottom, we just need to carry on regardless if we get stuffed tomorrow, just get up and go again as we always have done under Lambo, I have a feeling we may pull a surprise against old plastic fanunited I see no reason why we cannot maintain our current position as long as the guys hold on to thier belief OTBC ILWT
I was actually thinking only yesterday that we seem to have now been accepted back in to the Premier league fraternity. At the start of the season we were getting shocking amounts of poor decisions against us an we wereso often patronised by the press. We seemed to have played our was through that now and I think most see us as a genuine Premier League club. Peoples opinion on the outside has changed and I think ours has too. Confidence and optimism are great. I would hate that to ever turn into arrogance though. It is a fine line.
We haven't kicked a ball this weekend yet and whatever happens we shall still be in eighth place Monday morning, onwards and UPWARDS ! OTBC
On the map its close but apparently its 187 miles. I must admit I get fed up hearing about how far it is for away fans. "Oh they face a 300 mile round trip!". "They won't get home until 10pm". Well don't go then. 187 miles is like nothing to us down in the wop wops of Cornwall. I have to go 58 X 2 miles just to get my eyes checked! Exeter is 98 and we go there shopping! My nephew had a stay in Swindon and my brother phoned to say he was near me until I pointed out Swindon is nearer Norwich than Cornwall!
The results certainly went for us today. After the United game we have a run of games that will secure our status or make it squeaky bum time given our run in. But chin up chaps, one game at a time - and Norwich always cause a shock or two, let's hope there is one tomorrow.
Where I live is right by "Pullover Roundabout" in King's Lynn, where the A47 and A17 meet. In Norfolk terms I live at the centre of a universal traffic hub.
