And warnocks talking about him now on Sky Sports News! <laugh>

Dodged the question if we would like him or not and side stepped Diouf as well. He wants 1 or 2 more in in the next 7 days.

Clint Hill- cagey on that as well but says a lot of teams would be in for him.

Players who we might have have failed to be linked with:

    Matthew Connolly - QPR
    Rob Hulse - QPR
    Ben Watson - Wigan
    Brain Howard - Reading
    Tomasz Cywka - Reading
    David Cotterill - Barnsley
    Jim O'Brien - Barnsley

I'm not saying we should sign them, but they are possibilities.

If even barnsley have released them then they can **** off! <laugh>

And on owen, the YP have an article saying we might be interested and that (this next bit is comedy gold) bates may be willing to pay his £50,000p/w wages (<laugh>) in return for the goals that might get us promoted...

He's already said that he doesn't want to play in the Championship.

I actually feel sorry for the guy. He had such raw talent and it seemed for a time as though we would become England's all-time top scorer. I remember being at ER in maybe 2000 when he did his hamstring which turned out to be the first of many, many injuries.

He could still do an amazing job for us but there's zero chance of us signing him. Unless he's willing to play in exchange for 50p and a packet of polos.

I'd read he'd ruled out the Championship as well. Thing is, how many premier league games does he think he can play in a year, given that he appears to be made of straw and dry twigs? <confused>

EDIT: And there's no way he's going on my wage bill. We'd have to take on at least two additional physios and rent the bugger a wheelchair for six months out of twelve... <whistle>

Would he be able for more than ten games a year. I doubt it

You can have Hulse for nothing if you want <ok>

And you can get your hopes down on Clint Hill, regular starter for Hughes after Warnock sent him out on loan, has just won our player of the season and been offered a new deal <ok>

I'd take Owen, reckon he would be awesome in this league. Obviously he has already said he won't drop down to the championship but if a PL team won't sign him then he may have to
