Week after week we have free kicks just outside the penalty box and yesterday, behold, we actually got a penalty. But how many fans are actually confident that anything will come of the moment. I certaibly am not. Now this is not a "have a go at Tarrabt", however, despite all his talent, his his spot kicks and free kicks are wholeful. Surely we must have someone better. Perhaps Jenas is the man, though I do not see him getting regular games, but his free kick yesterday so nearly crept in and was on target. We cannot afford to waste these chances in our position.
It is driving me absolutely mental. Especially now we have Samba, the corners have to be better. You see Snodgrass's ones yesterday? quality.
It's been the story of our season, piss-poor set pieces and failure to string more than three passes together without losing the ball, THAT is why were are bottom...
Taarabt's penalties are normally faultless. Yesterday's wasn't even that bad- just an excellent save. Some of the set pieces were excellent too. Some were poor, but he's shown he can do it before and is easily the best we've got for the job.
Granero was good until you lot started booing him because he didn't let Adel to take them He was 3d in the league by chances created from set piece
I remember Real Madrid players scoring from his corners and free kicks crosses. Maybe we're not good in the air ?
Eh ??....I thought most of his corners were those crappy short ones that usually ended up with the opposing team on the attack. Forgive me if i'm wrong
No I wont, he WAS good. I can't do anything about goldfish memory with some posters but he was praised at the beginning and was given a MOM in some matches. He's not so good now but don't say he never was good. It just gets on my nerves
He was great at Spurs and in a couple of other games but has generally been laughably weak and ineffective. His free kicks have been atrocious.
