An Israeli military spokesman said the targets were an arms factory in the centre of the Gaza Strip as well as three tunnels used for smuggling contraband from Egypt. There was no immediate report of injuries. Since the start of the year at least seven rockets from Gazza have struck Israel causing no injuries or major damage. In the past month, four Palestinians have died in Gaza as a result of Israeli air and artillery strikes.
