After watching the game on Monday I am totally convinced that spurs are on the decline and that they are solely reliant on one player who is incredibly inconsistent.

Bale is great on his day but when he isn’t playing well spurs look a team that would end up bottom half of the table. He has only played well in the last five games and will no doubt return to the average player who occasionally makes one brilliant contribution.

When Bale leave in the summer Spurs will struggle without him and with players like Adebayor on the wage bill they wont be able to afford to replace him. Players like Holtby and Sigurdson are not PL quality and spurs have never had a youth system that produces anyone. Since the days of Redknapp the whole philosophy has always been to buy players and not produce.

Spurs have reached their peak and this season will be lucky to get a European place
