Have I missed something or is Brendan still not contracted beyond this summer?

People need to make their voices heard on this at the games, I recon.

Is it BR, is it the board? It cannot be the performances and it's definately not the fans.

    I repeat

    WTF?

I dont think BR would leave in the summer unless we get relegated.I think he knows that if he went to a bigger club the pressure would be much higher. The pressure with him now with Swansea is a no lose situation bcos most predicted we would be relegated come end of season.he is also still learning,i think he will be with us for 2012-2013,and maybe then move other clubs paid him bigger money.

After the furore over our performance against the Arsenal we have been in all the headlines and no doubt as was stated on the talksport show on monday, i would be surprised if there are not chairman & boards glancing over to our part of the country considering could brendan work this same at their club.

on the other side would brendan want to go elsewhere and start again when he has things in place and is at the start of something big hopefully :):)

i would just like us to come out and announce that he has signed a three year contract alongside the players, or is it the club dont want to get burnt if it does go t1ts up and have to pay if the unthinkable happens. not that i think it will

Come on all parties COMMIT :):)

He has already stated he intends to stay for the long haul and to be honest as we have found out contracts mean bugger all anyway. £1-£2m compensation wouldn't put off anyone in the Prem snatching him away as it is...

He said he'll sit down with Huw soon. That said I suppose it's a bit like a marriage certificate, in reality i doesn't mean anything, but in our hearts it shows commitment ;)

Can't imagine Rodgers going anywhere now . Fans across the Isles making Swansea there 2nd team , playing fabulous football on a responsible budget . Anybody can make a pretty great team with a ton of money , few can make a fairly great team based on motivation & hard work . He'll sign by summer . P.S. Wish it was summer !!!.... -36 Celsius at the moment here , -50 with the wind chill .... hope the furnace hangs in there !

It's being sorted out. These things take time, so relax a little and don't stress about it.

    Breezy - keep warm!!! :emoticon-0162-coffe

Rodgers seemed very laid back about it recently, but I think this is a mistake on the part of the Board. We need him to commit. Remember, Martinez said all the right things too. I've met Rodgers and he's just as you see him on TV - a really top bloke with no airs and graces. But this is a business, and it's irresponsible of the Board not to nail him down.

Of course the compo if it comes is nothing to bigger clubs, but it's something. It also makes him slightly less attractive and would make the decision a tad more difficult for him if he'd only just publicly committed himself to the Club.

I hope this isn't going to blow up in our faces, gentlemen.

i have said before that brendan will sign when he is good and ready and wants to stay with the swans whatever happens, he said there are only a handfull of clubs that will ever prise him away should they want him so i dont blame him for keeping his options open for the time being......there is no problem...

it would be good for club stability to keep a manager here for a good few years after the last lot, and Rogers seams to have been given what we can afford to so far. Thank god he got vorm for us i just saw doris flapping about to let the first b/ham goal in i know he aint played much but he does look a bit fatter than as he used to !

Rodgers is in Swansea Wonderland, he won't be going anywhere soon, hell trying to get another team to play like Swansea, would be a managerial graveyard, ask Martinez, he's been trying for two season's to get his Prima Donna's at Wigan to play the right way, and still they don't get it, no Rodgers knows a good deal, when he See's one! Swansea have resurrected his career, for sure...................

I'm sure he would also see a 'good deal' when Capello leaves this summer and Rednapp gets the job with England.
