I'm a little bit worried about us away to Arsenal in a week. We're not very good away, and Arsenal are not an easy team to beat. I hope we can maintain our first half performance over 2 halves for our next game. If we do then I'm quite sure we'll win, but I still think putting Flanagan at RB when Kelly is fit was a mistake. Can't really say anything about Henderson, don't think he did too badly first half, second half he went missing a bit so I agree with Kenny putting Kuyt on. I really think Aquilani should have been given a start, surely he's proven himself now? I hope he hasn't been left out because he's leaving.
With your next 6 fixtures anyone would want the season to end! Just hope you beat Chelsea, Manure, City and Arsenal.
Holding on for a hero...
First game of the season lads, there is no point looking at the table until about 6 games in when it all becomes more sensible. And to be honest, we always seem to draw against Sunderland lately. It's only the first game, I expect us to beat Arsenal next week. And Kelly needs to be above Flanaghan in the pecking order for that Right Back spot tbh.
Flanagan has done well in the RB role, it's good that there is competition for places. I do think Kelly has the edge over Flanagan but I am happy with either starting.
Has to be Kelly in my opinion. Flanno showed yesterday he has a slight way to go before being a regular, don't get me wrong it will happen, just Kelly is there already.
