Have Gloucestershire blown their County Championship promotion chances?

Well thanks to Chris Taylor's century we managed to secure a draw against Essex. However, with this result following 2 losses against Surrey and Derbyshire, I don't think we'll secure promotion this season, even if we win our final 3 games home to Glamorgan & Leicestershire then finishing away to Northants. We could have done with winning at least 1 of these games if not 2. My hope is that we at least keep Taylor & Marshall for next season so that there's at least some experience in the batting line up to compensate for Lewis going to Surrey.

 

Judging by Bracewell's comments in the press he at least is keen to keep Marshall & Taylor. That I take to be a good sign.
