I listened yesterday and yes, what he says makes sense.

But in any business people are judged on what they do NOT what they say.
All what SOD espouses won't matter if we're in L1 or the Conference.

Until he gets the balance right he's in huge danger of the exit door.

I listened to the whole thing, and I thought it was fantastic. The man speaks a lot of sense, and you could tell that it was genuine. He is trying to make the best of a bad situation at the club, and he acknowledges that things need to change.

For me, the issue has never been the man in the managers set. We could have Alex Ferguson in the hot seat and we'd still fail miserably. The club needs to increase its profits, and the club needs to pour more money into the club. The problem is with the board, because over the entire period of Lansdown's ownership we have absolutely nothing to show for it.

What I really liked about the interview is that SOD genuinely seemed to like the club and our city. I know a small minority of the fans want him out, but I reckon the boards silence shows that he has their full support, and that he's stressed to them that this is a process that will take time, and that this season will effectively be a write-off in order to get the club back on track. There is only so much we can take in regards to poor performances, and SOD needs to get some points on the board above anything else, but I don't want to chop and change managers every year like we have been doing since GJ.

We should never have gotten rid of Johnson in the first place
