After Sunday's wonder goal we should be encouraging Johnny Howson to have a shot from reasonable distance once in while. If anyone else remembers we (the crowd) used to do this in the past with Greg Downs and Mark (Blaster) Barham
I'd love to see more shots from distance, as opposed to 'walking' the ball into the opponents' net!!! Some could come back off the woodwork, or be parried by the keeper (I seem to remember that's how Holt got the winner against Arsenal).
I think he should be deployed behind the striker(s) if this happened then I think you would see more shots from 18yards + than we do from say Hoolahan.
Snodgrass too if he unleashed one every now and then it might put the defenders in two minds as to what he is going to do
