Well another day of being down in the dumps after another poor performance, which sees us slide to 15th in the league. It feels like Xmas has come early this year, because for the last 2 seasons we've had a major slump straight after, and I'm hoping our slump has come early this year, and hoping to see us pick up form and points from now on. Warnock must be scratching his head and wondering what the hells happening. Most of us were behind Neil, but I fear he'll lose support unless he can turn this around fast. The more optimistic of us will blame Bates and the crazy takeover situation, but at the end of the day Neil's picking the team and tactics and making himself look like a poor manager just now. Hoof ball is something we don't like to see unless it gets results, and its not. We have a lack of fire power due to injuries and lack of investment. Warnock has never had big money to spend on big players, but he usually gets the best out of what he has, so come on Neil turn it around because if we carry on like this and then do our usual post Xmas slump, we'll be relegated.
Leeds United after 15 games: 2012/13- pts 20 GD 0 2011/12- pts 22 GD 0 2011/10- pts 23 GD -2 So to me we have made a fairly standard start, and the slightly lower points tally reflects our team well. I'm hoping with stability this season i.e. Warnock remaining the full season in charge and no star players sold in January, that we can comfortably finish midtable, which is all this squad is capable of. Thankfully the cup is a nice distraction from our boring league prospects.
My thoughts exactly, now are the time for Warnock to step up to the plate an show us he is the man. I have to admit I didn’t want him in the first place, but I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. And right now me patience is running out very quickly. I feel that the next game is a must win, nothing else than 3 point is good enough in my eyes. And if we don’t win the next game, we will be well and truly down in the relegation battle.
Well i wouldn't be best pleased if Kenny, Austin and McCormack were sold and with Bates in charge nothing would be surprising. Hopefully we keep prospects like Byram as well.
Must admit that made me smile. It's amazing what some supporters are now happy to call star players mainly cos our better ones for past few seasons have been already sold off. I doubt if our entire squad is currently worth much more than 5 million
I'm sorry to say that right now I don't think it matters if we do or if we don't anymore tbh. Unless something drastic is going to happen very, very soon
Morning all. On the plus side, it sounded as though we played a bit better last night than was the case on Friday. On the downside, we lost & are now 15th. I hate to say it but there now has to be a chance of Warnock either walking or being sacked before the 'kin' takeover takes place. All in all, not a good day
Look on the bright side - you are only 1 place behind the Millwall express - try to get in our slip stream and we'll carry you up the table
