After the silly season worries of only some 10 days ago, we now enter the final hours of the transfer window with mouths agape. If we pull the Dempsey and Strinic deals off by 11pm tomorrow night, to add to the Saha, Cuellar, Johnson and Fletcher already in, this will be by far and away the best summer in my time following the lads. The news that Sess has signed a new deal as well has created even more excitement. Never before have we bought so many players who are amongst the best at their relevant clubs and never before has a set of signings created so much good will and excitement. Also, most importantly, not one player we want has been sold to fund it. All departing players are surplus to Mon's plans and I include Richardson in that, as we have hardly fought tooth and nail to keep him. We've all said we wanted a manager and owner to take us to the next level. Well boys and girls, we have them now for sure and even if Dempsey doesn't come off, this has been a massive statement of intent from Short and Mon. We are well and truly on our way. Heady times people and an incredible summer unparalleled in the last 40 years.

Couldn't be more happier with what we have brought in and tied down Sess as well, if it ended now i'd still be happy but concerned that we haven't brought in a LB. We have already surpassed my expectations in this window but to bring in a LB as well would just be the icing on the cake. Either way, a very big well done to ALL concerned, it's not Just MON & ES.
If we get a left back, I will rip the heed off it. If we don't, i'll cope, and we will still be a naughty side. Hapiness, served by a funny looking Irishman. Wunderbar.

Reading all info available & the comments from the latest press conference it seems we are pretty much done with incomings. If ricco leaves then a new left back comes in and elmos going out on loan. Don't think we are getting Dempsey, seems was only on the cards if we didn't get aj, but u never know, all hear say but this I'm taking from the echo which don't do rumours really. All in all as above an excellent window and a exciting season to look forward too. Hope I can get to as many games as possible.
