Very interesting discussion WJ had with a financial expert on Thursday basically he said I was totally correct about what I said about Bradford but he went further he said there were more expensive cars i.e. cars costing over 100k registered in Bradford per head than anywhere else in the country.I thought about what he said and then it dawned on me why Pakistanis so I have been informed don't have to explain to authorities when banking large sums of cash, we do under the money laundering rules, so they can send vast amounts of cash to where ever with no explanation, talk about us being barmy or what only this week two Pakistani have been jailed for stealing cash from their mosque to buy heroin how many more are involved I ask myself in this racket .So from tin pot town it has become crackpot town
Didn't you meet wj on Thursday? Nuff sed. At least we now agree it's tinpot town. Wj is untrustworthy... He always agrees with who s buying the beer. He managed to agree with me about this subject last time we met. But I was too much of an honourable gent to quote a private conversation. Seen as you brought it up, and put him in a difficult position..... Come on then jock where are you on the whole Bradford debate?.......... ..... The only correct answer is "past caring".
Just to be clear on a few things: * Yes, I can confirm that the financial chappie did say that, and that the detail was proffered, not elicited - i.e. he gave that & other info freely. * I was drinking diet Pepsi, so unbribeable, as there's a limit to how much of that stuff you can drink * I refuse to be drawn into the 'discussions' you two are having, and will not take sides as I consider both of you to be mates. So there!
So this bloke just happens to come into the pub and start telling you about the financial history of Bradford. Without proof it's still only their opinion. But I think I have it. Mary of manningham is a cross dresser.
One second thoughts that's a complete cop out.... Be careful the fence don't leave splinters in your arsee. Perhaps Mike and me should grab a leg each and rip you to pieces. You would have surrendered in 1940.
No we just got talking about the forum and some of the posters on there and I told him about the ridicule I received re Bradford so when I told him he said but you were right and then he went on to say about modern day Bradford and how many cars over 100k were registered there which surprised me for a tin pot town
The reason why they register so many dear cars is because Jack Tordoff runs all his dealerships through his JCT headquarters at laisterdyke. The owners live all over Yorkshire and the North East. I know jacks grandson socially.... I
Wait hold up, I thought this argument was about millionaires in Bradford not cars over 100k - when did this change?
Mike is trying to suggest that because Jack Tordoff registered every car he sells through all his car sales businesses through his jct 600 headquarters in Bradford that this somehow correlates to what happened in the 19th century.... I am not going to bite.
I wasn't suggesting that at all it simply surprised both me and WJ that the town was so prosperous even today
Ok.. My mistake. I thought you were linking it to our previous conversation. I would think the average price of cars in Harrogate is right up there with the highest in the country outside the super and hyper carsp filled oligarch areas of west London.
You forgot Bardsey but read it again pre head of population in Bradford there is more 100k plus vehicles registered than anywhere in the country
