This is what Bruce should be looking at,IMO. Matt Holland has urged Shay Given to resolve his Manchester City future as soon as possible and make a move to ensure he is playing regular football again. Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Holland watched as Given put in a commanding performance as Giovanni Trappatoniâs men cruised to a 2-0 win against Macedonia in their Euro 2012 qualifier. But after spending the season on Manchester Ciytyâs bench playing second-fiddle to Joe Hart who is Roberto Manciniâs first choice goalkeeper Holland thinks he needs to secure a move. He told talkSPORT: âItâs madness that he doesnât play week in week out in the Premier League because he is a top-class goalkeeper. âHeâs 35-years-old, and if you look this week at Spurs buying Brad Friedel who is 40-years-old on a two-year deal. âIt just goes to show that Shay Given has got plenty of longevity left in his career. I hope that in the summer that maybe heâll go and play somewhere and get a move where he can play as number one because certainly his talent deserves that.â
