Doesn't look likely, he wasn't in any of the training photos from before they set off for Valenica, whilst Danny Rose was. Maybe he's just camera shy but I suspect we might be trying to keep it quiet that he's kicked up a stink again. I guess we'll know for sure tonight.
I really am beginning to dislike football...it is run by a greedy cowards who jumped into bed with souless corporation who have bought a beautiful game and turned it into a brothel. Players, Agents, Clubs, Uefa and Fifa know the cost of everything and the value of nothing. I hope Modric just ****s off...and quickly...but he'll end up being replaced by some other greedy souless piece of ****e who feels he is underpaid cos he 'only' earns £40,000 PER ****ING WEEK... GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR rant over
Totally agree remember Colin lee. Football is not what it used to be. It's a shame but money has ruined the game. I would love fair play rules to be brought in but I doubt that will ever happen.
Players used to be equally greedy, they just weren't as powerful or well paid and grabbed their cash via bungs. Is that any better? The balance has gone from one extreme to the other and neither suits the fans, as usual.
Agreed, I think agents have a lot to do with it, look at the rooney saga, that was all down to an agent, it amazes me how thick footballers really are to be brain washed by these money grabbing leeches.
I don't agree...players were paid a wage that was good but it was on a par with good paying jobs. Players were treated poorly by clubs at times (hence the bosman ruling) and that needed to change but players used to have to go into a job when they finished playing (loads became salesmen or ran pubs) and they needed testimonials at the end of their career. In short they were pretty much like the rest of us. There are next to no one or two team players anymore...therefore players built bonds with the fans, they lived in the local area, used public transport and went to local pubs and restaurants. A big sponsorship deal was £1000 per year from a boot firm or £150 per year from a local butcher etc. Nowadays £40k per week wages (PER WEEK FFS) is considered low... on top of their wages they get image rights payments, multi million pound contracts from multinationals and a cut of transfer fees and signing on fees and bonuses etc. We are forever being told 'well if you were offered a job doubling your salary you'd take it' or 'why should a player move to another club on less money when he can stay put and earn more and not even need to play' (ala Wayne Bridge)...I earn £10k per year working in a primary school as a teaching assistant...that's £740 per month take home. Doubling my salary would make an amazing difference to my life and that of my children. (I am not complaining - I love my job and get a lot of satisfaction and joy from helping to teach kids how to write and read etc.) But I honestly fail to see how an EXTRA £40k per week makes any difference when you already earn a basic £40k per week and are already a multi millionaire. I ain't jealous ... I just think it's souless... but then I'm just an ol git Nowadays
Football has gone to the dogs, apparently PSG paid 9million euros to the agent of Lucas Moura for his part in the deal. That is outrageous.
Players' shirts I can clearly read in this vid... Assou-Ekotto Bale Huddlestone Sigurdsson Lennon Jenas Carroll Cudicini Gallas Van Der Vaart Defoe Kane Townsend Bentley
5, 20 and 16 are Vertonghen, Naughton and Dawson. Impossible to tell if the remaining kit belongs to Friedel or Gomes, as far as I can see.
Is that not to do with Lucas and his agent both getting a %age of the transfer? I think Oscar and his agent got a big portion of their fee, although I might be wrong.
