Our ex - striker is not usually for controversy. But has he now completely lost his marbles? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-rate-him-second-only-to-Zinedine-Zidane.html
Owen played with the players he talks about. You sat on your sofa eating bread, dipping it in anything runnier than bread. Now I don't agree with Owen but I will admit his opinion might be slightly more valid than mine and definitely yours
He did try to leave Liverpool though for Chelsea, and only decided against it, when the Liverpool supporters where sending death threats to his house, so it wasn't a case of being loyal as Owen tries to suggest, it was a case of fearing for his life
Zidane, once acclaimed as the worldâs finest footballer and now sporting director of Real Madrid, said: âFor two or three years, Steven Gerrard was the best midfield player in the world. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/alex-fergusons-book-claims-liverpool-2642628
Not arguing mate, just pointing out matth's stupidity on the subject. Scholes was a fantastic player.
Gerrard so overrated like most English players. Ten good minutes in Istanbul. And a legendary couple of goals v Olympiakos and er West ham His big game record is appalling. Is it Four prem goals v United in his career. Two goals in 34 games v Chelsea. One was an OG
One of the stupidest comments I've ever read on here. (and I read Matths stuff) I can only presume you are looking for a reaction of some kind.
http://www.fanatix.com/news/zinedin...frank-lampard-is-englands-best-player/146184/ here is says Lampard>gerrard Seems ZZ has said everyone is the best at some stage. You go to Zidane after Istanbul for a quote, he will say gerrard is best. If he is doing analysis on a United game later in the season, he may say Scholes is the best etc... don't read too much into it
