FROM THE YEOVIL TOWN SITE The row between Yeovil Town and Millwall has intensified with the news that Lions boss Ian Holloway is considering playing midfielder Ed Upson tomorrow night. Following Saturday's match against Leeds United, Glovers boss Gary Johnson said in his post-match interview that the two clubs had agreed not to field Upson in the fixture, with the agreement being set up between the two clubs Chairmen. But Holloway, who has a firm West Country background, having been born in Bristol and getting through three playing spells with Bristol Rovers along with one management spell, has said that he was annoyed with Johnson over the comments that were made after Upson's transfer where the Glovers boss said "he hasnât come up to the standard of what we hoped he would in the Championship". With the arrangements having been set as a 'gentleman's agreement' rather than written into contract, Holloway has told the Southwark News that he is considering breaking that, on the basis of the remarks, ramping up what is likely to be a high pressure game for both clubs, with Millwall currently six points ahead of Yeovil in the Championship table but having played a game more. Holloway feels that Johnson's comments were not fair: "After what his manager said, I am thinking about whether I should be a gentleman or not. I might play him because if Gary says he is not good enough to play in the Championship, I might prove that he is by playing Ed against him. Gary upset me the other week because he shouldn't say that about his old player. They wouldn't have sold him to us, with us competing against them to stay up, had he been allowed to play. Normally I'm a gentleman and would keep my word. But their manager shouldn't be saying things like that, I don't think."
