However that dosnt mean that there have more common sense
There is still to many dangerous drivers on the road
That’s the same in any country though. Always those willing to risk conviction.Over here there are MANY who've never even sat a test, never mind passing one!

On the spot fine? I don’t know much about Thailand but I would assume that the tech isn’t there to make people pay with cards when stopped by the local fuzz.I suspect that over here there are many more police officers who are more interested in their 'tea kitty' (200 THB for any indiscretion) than convictions.
Otherwise why is it that anyone passing a school (as an example) can see loads of kids (from about 11 years old) arriving/leaving on motor cycles?

9 and 3 apparently. I always did that just because it was more comfortable and I had more control of the car.
My car has a foot operated parking brake and it is released by a lever just under the steering wheel with your right hand. What’s this “release the parking brake” you speak of.
I’ll add this piece, do as your told by the driving instructor until you pass your test then drive how you feel is the best for yourself. Being comfortable and in the best position. I have car, class 1 hgv and full pcv, I drive all three in different ways adjust and adapt what’s best.
