Has Carroll actually handed in a transfer request ...

    .... Or has he been convinced by Ashley and Co. to take the flack. I personally think it's the former but...

    ... Theorectically, if Ashley was the person who was seen to be selling Carroll he would be Geordie Enemy No.1 (even if he wasn't already!!) Therefore has he spoke to Carroll and asked him to trade his love for Newcastle for £35m and the flack so it is at least possible for Pardew and Ashley to progress the club with what will probably be a 1/4 of the £35m we are recieving for him?

    I hope this is the case, Carroll has sold his passion for £35m to move Newcastle forwards but being honest I just can't see this being the case. There's only so many times you can blame to owner!!

    As a fan I'd love to say my services have invested £35m+ into the club but in Carrolls case I think it's not the case, so to speak. Just thought I'd add another angle to the argument and see if anyone did agree with what I diagree with!?!?!

    i think the transfer request thing is a little fishy. it wouldnt surprise me to learn that ashley offered carroll a rather large 'signing off bonus' to take the flak for it...

    Obviously lovin it being SAFC however think toontastic and pipe4life correct. Think a young kid has had peer pressure put on him by MA, his agent, who will get a big fat cut of this, and poss pardew to rebuild. Dont think carroll would willingly request transfer.

    Considering he'll never been welcomed back into the city he's always called home, if he REALLY didn't want to leave for Liverpool, it'd have to be one seriously fat cheque to sell him on what he'll experience for the rest of his footballing life. I can't see him ever living this down.
