According to one or two posts over on the Chelsea board, Cahill has signed. However there has been no confirmation of this by the club. I only hope that if he does sign it will be to late to play against us tomorrow. Let Sess and McClean loose against that old cart horse Terry. Run the old man ragged.

They missed the deadline... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16438701.stm Quote Chelsea have failed to complete the transfer of England defender Gary Cahill in time for Saturday's Premier League game against Sunderland. But Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas is confident the protracted deal will still be completed "this week". Bolton accepted Chelsea's bid for the centre-half, reported to be in the region of £7m, almost two weeks ago. "I'm sure all parties are protecting their interests and we'll reach an agreement," said Villas-Boas. But my own feeling is I'm pretty sure they can get to a place that they're all happy Owen CoyleBolton manager Chelsea were confident of wrapping up the transfer before the midday cut-off for Cahill, 26, to be registered for the Stamford Bridge clash against Martin O'Neill's men. However, it is thought the Blues are still working hard to push the deal through on Friday. Villas-Boas has admitted he has identified a number of other targets if the Cahill deal does collapse. "We kept a couple of other options available and hopefully we can act quickly if that's the case," he said. "But I'm pretty confident [the Cahill deal] will happen." But the delay raises more questions over the agreement of personal terms between the west London club and the player. Villas-Boas revealed Chelsea and the player were "miles apart" last week, before Bolton counterpart Owen Coyle said he thought a deal would be concluded before last weekend. "There hasn't been any dialogue between ourselves and Manchester United or anything like that," said Coyle last week. "When there's continued conjecture and everything that goes with it people are always going to throw up names. Cahill scored the winning goal in Bolton's 2-1 victory at Premier League rivals Everton, but played no part in the FA Cup third round 2-2 draw at Macclesfield on Saturday.
