Okay, it sounds like I’m knocking him and I am but not in the negative manner I mean it to sound…

Before Bielsa arrived Victor Orta brought in players he felt were good enough for the club. We all thought they were useless until Bielsa arrived and he transformed them.

Bielsa arrived, he had to work with what he had, sure he watched videos of them all but he didn’t have a say on arrivals, they were already here. He worked his magic and we all know what happened next.

Roll on to the present day, Orta lines us up players like Noah Lang and Nahitan Nandez but Bielsa says no. Is Bielsa possibly overthinking things? What is the reason for saying no and remaining loyal to the likes of Roberts?

Of the starting 11 yesterday, if Bielsa had never seen any of them play (and we had a completely different starting 11) how many would Bielsa give the thumbs up to now if they were available to sign?

I just wonder if Bielsa just fears change a bit too much.

I think Bielsa is on the spectrum and he cannot change his beliefs and thats why he always blames himself. 2 players who would have imprived the team could have been starting, Lang (scored twice this weekend) and Nahitan Nandez, but Bielsa has a thing about refusing to overpay for a player and if he believes a player isnt worth it he wont get him. He pulled the plug in O’Brian for the same reason and yet because he has a hard in fir Dan James he cant stop himself going back for him at £25m. He says it was a great deal so kets hope it pays off.

In a recent interview Bielsa was asked about Jorge Sampaoli who later followed Bielsa as Argentine national coach and also managed Chile like Bielsa. Sampaoli has now followed Bielsa again as manager of Marseille. Bielsa was asked if Sampaoli would do a good job and he said Jorge always does a fantastic job because he is better than me. He is able to adapt and change tactics during the game I cannot. He has plan A B and C I have plan A. Thats one of the reasons I see Sampaoli as being top of Bielsa managerial list when he goes. Would love Simeoni or Sampaoli as bith are Bielsa pupils but both use high press, low block and score lots of goals with fast intricate patterns but have solid defences too. When our attacks breakdown against top teams we get ripped to shreds and yesterday could have almost been double figures

Bielsa will do it his way right or wrong but look at the facts
    4 games played 2 loses.
The two loses agains teams worth
    4/5 times what leeds are
2 draws against teams of a similar ilk to ourselves so maybe not as bad as it seems
    That’s what I tell myself
