at home but be so unfancied amongst its own fans? crazy really, but completely understandable, its not just the last 3 games we have been poor for months, wins against the likes of boro and burnley disguised very average/poor displays....only really birmingham at home and 30 minutes against ipswich that weve played to our best since Xmas.. the league table doesnt lie, but nearly everybody knew when they took the lead yesterday we werent getting promoted at barnsley, we just didnt have 2 goals in us , has a team chasing promotion ever been like that? have 2 players ever picked up player of the season awards then played so poorly the next game? a lot of questions here i know, i personally dont have the answers , just the whole situation is bizzare...we look tired, panicked in possesion and at times very negative, elmo playing more of a right back all of a sudden, no pace going forward .. need Koren fit for Saturday imo to stand any chance.
I think the issue is that people revert back to this "league table doesn't lie" idea. when the reality is that you don't actually have the same team throughout the year due to injuries, transfers, suspensions. If the best team always won then football would be very boring. I would suggest the league table lies quite a lot. Also if we lose and Watford win then they will be ahead of us and credit to them. They can say "the league table doesn't lie"...
Completely agree pal, somethings gotta give next week and I hope we change it round and go for broke. No more crappy performances, let's play like a team in second.
Elmo and Brady but Elmo in particular have caught Cameron Stewart syndrome.. standing 2 feet away from the defender shouting for the ball to feet, when earlier in the season a highlight of his play was the running in behind the oppisition fullback
