John Percy Huge blow for West Brom - Harvey Barnes is heading back to #lcfc after being recalled. Barnes has scored 9 goals on loan at Albion #wba
I feel a little embarrassed by this to be quite honest ... wonder if this is partly to placate the fans because we won't be bringing anyone else in during the January transfer window ... which might in turn be because the club doesn't want to sack Puel at this point but also don't want him to spend any money until they have time to reflect on overall progress at the end of the season?

Gray and Ghezzal are struggling. Albrighton isnt a match winner Im not surprised in the slightest. Why struggle for goals and creativity while having arguably the best player in the championship playing for someone else?
I kinda feel the exact same way - the poor kid has only a couple of seasons of Championship first team football under his belt and now is going to be expected to get us into Europe.
I'm not sure putting all of the burden to create and win matches on a kid that only has half a season being decent in the Championship is the right move but sadly it seems to be the only move we can make atm. I really hope that he does do well not only as a fan but for the kid's sake - our fans are really fickle and will treat him like Iheanacho if he doesn't produce from the off. Also I predict Puel will give him time to adjust and our fans will jump on his back and condemn him for that - I pity the poor bugger that will be on the left wing when Barnes is on the bench.
Not putting the burden on anyone. No on is saying Barnes is the savior. Just saying the kid deserves a chance as no one has really taken their chance
I'm not meaning you but the rest of our fans - hype train really is rumbling on. Good thing about the flak that Puel is getting is that he gets the blame when any of the crowd favourites bugger up so hopefully Barnes will be spared if he doesn't score a hat trick every game.
I agree, not bothered what WBA think as he’s out player. But ****ty to call him back the day before they have such a big match I guess rather than last week? More concerned our ****ed up fans are going to write him off as **** exactly 24 hours to the minute from now!
This is totally understandable and the right thing to do. We did exactly the same last season after he spent the first half with Barnsley (I think) and then recalled him for the second half. He now has another half season of championship football with a better team in which his performance has also improved. From seeing him on TV every week he looks like he has grown six inches since last year and his age is immaterial, look at Ndidi, Maddison, Chilwell, Choudhary and Iheanacho. Im very much looking forward to seeing him play in the same team as Maddison and Vardy.
Would have preferred him to stay away tbh, we aren't in a good spot at the moment, and bringing him back puts needless pressure on him. Sure you could argue that we are in a comfortable position and we have half a season to integrate him into the side without any immediate danger. I honestly didn't want him to return here to be used like Gray has been, he'll more than likely be used in multiple positions, not nailing down any of them completely.
Those players tend to have more then a couple of seasons at Championship level under their belts. Hopefully Barnes will be the exception target then the norm.
He'll probably feel less pressure when playing away from the King Power - assuming he gets picked. There is so much frustration there at the moment that the slightest of misdemeanours will cause a negative reaction from the crowd and dent his confidence.
I felt Barnes did ok yesterday. Not the easiest start for him playing against 10 men who pretty much just defended the goalline
