1 Friedal 2 Walker 3 BAE 4 King 5 Kaboul 6 Parker 7 Lennon 8 Modric 9 Bale 10 VDV 11 Adebayor What reall P155es me off is when Bale doesnt play he moves Modric out of position playing wide left when we have Andros Townsend chomping at the bit to get a game, get some experience and make some kind of impact. If Modric cant play he plays both Sandro and Parker instead of giving Kranjcar a place in his favoured and best position. Probably our 2 key players but without them theres no plan B or an imbalanced midfield. We have players like Falque, Fredericks, Ceballos who arent given a chance or a realistic one at that. Dont get me wrong i think Redknapp has done a fantastic job but its starting to become infuriating changing our strongest line up by playing players out of position when theres tailor made sitting on the bench or loaned out.
It's not Bale's absence that results in Modric being moved, but Lennon's. It also means that Bale moves out of his favoured role, so it's especially stupid. We've got several players that are comfortable down the right. Redknapp just doesn't seem to trust them to do a job, for some reason. The exception to this is Kranjcar, who he does trust, but only when we're playing a 4-4-2, which he actually seems less suited for, in my opinion. Odd.
I've said before, when Lennons out play Dos Santos instead, straight swap. Keeps the system the same and the players are in the right place. If Modders is out just swap him with Krancjar, obviously not as creative but it allows the rest of the bunch to play in their positions.
Too many threads on this subject, everything has been covered in triplicate here...deja vous or what!
Harry would rather have players out of their best position than play Dos Santos, he seems determined to freeze him out and move him on.
Lennon - Dis Santos Parker - Sandro/Livermore Modric - Huddlestone/Kranjcar Bale - Rose We have straight swaps for each of our midfield, yet none of them are ever chosen. It's baffling as much as it is infuriating.
It all just seems to say what many of us have said before, maybe Harry should stick to the man management side of things, and leave the tactics to somebody who has a better feel for these things
Although GdS has done sod all since being here I would perhaps consider that, it at least gives a bit of balance to the team. Moving Modric out wide right makes my dick itch.
As I said the other day, if bale is out and we have to put a Croat on the left, why not put Kranjcar out there and leave Modric in the middle? Heck, I'd have preferred Corluka on the left wing...
I still say Rebrov could've done a job for us. I won't be shifted from that opinion either. He should have been a Tottenham CF great...Postiga however...
That's the issue, he wasn't a centre forward - somehow George Graham thought he was, so kept launching the ball long to him, even though several of our squad could play the ball. If he played in the position Van Der Vaart does now, on the other hand, he would've been great.
