Welsh youngster Harry Wilson signs first professional contract with Liverpool FC Harry Wilson has signed his first professional contract with Liverpool FC . The Welsh youngster is held in high regard at Anfield and expressed his delight on Twitter after signing his first ever pro deal. The 17-year-old has already made his debut for his country, having appeared as a substitute for Chris Coleman's side in October 2013 in a match against Belgium. Wilson was just 16 at the time and became the youngest ever player to take to the field for Wales beating the previous record holder Gareth Bale. please log in to view this image He is also Liverpool's youngest ever international player, beating the record held by Raheem Sterling . Wilson is a regular for Liverpool's under-18 side but has yet to feature in Brendan Rodgers' first team plans. He is a quick and skillful left-sided winger, and has been with the Reds' academy since under the age of ten. - Young Spaniard Cergi Canos has also signed a prop contract.
good news, cheers hopefully he will have an impact and impress brendan in pre season, and he might pick him for the bench next season to come on for the odd 10-15 mins, bit like sterling started off doing. want to see ibe step up as well.
It is interesting that him and McClaughlin are already full internationals before they have played for us. Didnt Sterling start playing 90 minutes straight away?
Sterling got so much game time when he was 16 because of injuries in the squad. McLaughlin I hope impresses in pre-season as he looks promising. He could solve our RB problems hopefully and save us a few quid.
Our current team of up and comings: --------? McGlaughlin-Wisdom-Ilori-Smith ----Rossiter--Pelosi--Texeira-- ---Ibe------Sinclair----Wilson- Hopefully at least some of those are star names in the future.

That reminds me of the many "future Liverpool team" threads on 606 that had the likes of Ngoo, Flanagan, Robinson, Wilson, Shelvey, Pacheco etc. in them.
Said this on another thread but I met McLaughlin in Belfast recently. Said he was staying at Liverpool this season. Having seen him for NI twice now and a loan spell... he should feature and seems ready to step up. It's make or break in the next year really. Crazy the genuinely exciting talent we have right now (even if realistically only maybe 3 will make it).
well... i agree but mclaughlin... i don't think he's up to it at the moment Wisdom.. knuckle down and he's got a chance but i think he's got to have a big preseason Ilori? who knows. 7mil can equal bargain or coates. the lads got to show something Smith... not good enough, but decent. can see a career in champ for him Rossiter... imponderable. could make it, might plateau, who knows at his age, theres many names who were like him Pelosi... not good enoug Teix... has a chance but must find a position and excel in it. Flexibility is one thing but knowing you are a no 10 means you go do it. suso issue is he doens;t knwo where he's best Ibe... lots of tlaent, needs another loan Sinclair.... hmmmm per rossiter Wilson... shocking cap but he did give a lot at under age level as well.. he's an imponderbale right now
Central Midfield, Has a fantastic partnership with Rossiter and they are developing well together which is perfect. I would have him in your team in front of Pelosi, (although pelosi is not a bad player.) brannagan caused alot of fuss aged 7 when he joined us instead of his dads favorite team. (united.)
zap branagan is decent and so is rossiter but they are a long way off even a league cup outing IMO. we'll see how they go
