A 16 year old from our academy has been called into the Wales squad for the games against Macedonia & Belgium. Great achievement to be in the squad at such a young age, I wonder if anyone's ever made their international debut before their club debut? Would he be the first if he got some minutes?
Good to see them giving youngsters a chance, it's not like the senior players are up to much so it's a good plan.
Never even heard of him and he's called up to the Welsh squad? Can't imagine many international staff are watching our U18 games...
Theo Walcott. Though he did play for Southampton. I'v never heard of this kid. I hope this good for him. Hype can have a negative effect.
We currently have nine players out for Wales. I doubt he will play unless all of our players give up, which is likely.
He was born in Wrexham on 22 Mar 1997 Harry has all the hallmarks of typical left winger - bags of pace, a great touch, ability and accelaration with the ball at his feet. He has represented Wales in the Victory Shield and at U17 level. During the 2012-13 campaign, Harry featured for the U18s and was a regular face in the U16 side. He has been at Liverpool since he was an U9 player. This is what he looks like... please log in to view this image http://www.liverpoolfc.com/team/academy/player/harry-wilson
Wales are ****e though, Tom Jones is next if Coleman cant sort it with this West Ham def But its obv a great achievement Hopefully he'll get on the pitch
Coleman is an idiot so there is a chance. For his sake I hope not, playing for u18 for Liverpool and getting minutes into a internation game isn't the best way for a youngster, especially before playing for his actual club.
Yeah its a big ask for the lad. Could make him stronger though and it is only against Macedonia...... I dont think he'll get on the pitch, but at least he'll be in and around the seniors and gain a bit of experience that way
I have never heard of him but apparently hes the new Gareth Bale Speaking of Welsh youngsters Lloyd Jones looks like a great prospect but im not sure he will get a chance any time soon with the centre backs we have now, a loan move could do him good.
They get about these youngsters. We have in our youth setup a young Bosnian called Armin Hodzic. (Good skillful Striker.) He has been unable to get a work permit and has been loaned back to a eam in his homeland. As such he has played in two champions league games this season. (early stages admittedly.) But you dont think of our academy players being out on loan and playing in the Champions League when the senior side is not even in Europe.
