http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11669_7182046,00.html After seeing him play for a while, should he be upset or would he not have suited our style of play?
I like Suarez. I think he will score a lot of goals for L'pool. I read the article, and I don't really get the bit about him being similar to VDV. Not IMO, he's not. Yes, we should have bought him when we had the chance. I just hope it doesn't come back to haunt us tomorrow.
I noticed he also mentioned the cost, it's obvious we are going to be chasing the rich kids seeing what they don't buy and go after them then.
To replace Defoe, yes, an obvious improvement. To have two shortarses that aren't strong in the air doesn't really help, if we had him, we wouldn't have Ade, and as a pair, think their too similar in their approach, suarez being far more clinical with his finishing.
Yes i would say that Harry should be regretting it,rather a bad miss for Spurs. He couldn't have been worse than our strikers last year and we would probably have got 4th with him.
You've got to question our scouting if we thought he was similar to VDV. Our loss is Liverpool's gain.
He's up front with Kevin Davies in mine. I overspent on the defence... As for not signing him, I've always believed part of our strategy for January was to get some money in by offloading Keane and bentley, then spending it on AN Other Striker - as we failed to sell either of them, we didn't have the funds for a striker. I'm not sure if you can blame 'Arry or Levy for that - you can blame keane and Bentley, though...
I've got Rooney and van Persie. ****ing useless Goon. Edit: so bad that it won't even let me have a capital letter at the start of that sentence, for some reason. Odd.
I've got Sagna. Luckily I rotated him out ahead of the mauling at Old Trafford - and he was subbed at 2-2 today, without scoring an own goal...
I've got Gibbs. Missed the 8-2 with injury and the loss to Liverpool, was rested today and played against Newcastle and Swansea, where they kept clean sheets!
Even the Gooners I know don't rate Gibbs. Expect him to have at least 50 England caps to his name, then...
Gibbs is like a mirror image of Glen Johnson. I don't rate him much either, but he was Arsenal's only left-back when I put him in and I incorrectly thought that they'd keep a decent number of clean sheets this season. Fantasy Football is all about stats. Players like Modric do relatively poorly, as he doesn't score many or get loads of assists, whereas someone like Chris Brunt does very well, not that I'm knocking him.
I always have one player getting a ton of points, a couple doing alright, and a couple doing sod all. Guess who that applies to out of Malouda, Dempsey, Etherington, O'Hara and Tchoyi?
