I like him and want him to stay as our manager as I think he can continue to take us forward....BUT...

My honest opinion is that as soon as England have 2 or 3 poor results the media will start screaming 'Arry for Ingerland' again. The press have already started criticising Hodgson, taking the piss etc. and he ain't even had a game yet.

Harry clearly wants the job so we will find ourselves in the same position as this season in the (very near) future.

I know it's not a fact but the Arry for ingerland campaign severely damaged us... 2 defeats in 21 prior to it ... 5 defeats in 11 during (and only 1 win) during, then 3 wins and a draw after it show that it badly effected us.

For this reason and this reason alone (the Arry for ingerland campaign returning) I think we may be better off changing manager now.

RCL, I agree with almost everything you said. In fact earlier today I said we should tie 'Arry down for 3/4 years with a new deal or if he doesn't sign, look at getting someone in who can commit to us and not just plan for the future but see it through.

I think it would be very cheap of Levy to sack Harry now, on the basis of a possible/probable return of a Harry for England campaign.
