From Kate Laven - Journalist for the Telegraph:

"Redknapp rumour appears to be true...he'll be back on the Saints throne in three weeks...or possibly before. Poor Nige."

If this really does happen, I'll support him. He's a great manager and a decent guy. However I'll be very surprised if there isn't some serious backlash from those who still hold a grudge, and there are a lot of those people.

I still do. Hey I'll bitch and moan and probably feel a bit bitter over it all, but if Harry gets us going and saves us what can you say really?

I don't hold grudges seeing as he didn't do anything that bad. Not 100% convinced he's amazing but hey, I'll definitely support him,

Well she is called Kate, which is one of my very favourite female names, so she must be reliable!

I wasn't paying any attention when it was just coming from ****rags like The Mirror and The Sun, but the Telegraph is a whole lot more reliable. Even if it is still a bit of a ****rag.

Exactly, look at the terrible run he had at the end of last year with Spurs, and let's face it that team had a bit more about it than us.

Here's a theory for you, we didn't manage to get the players in that we wanted over the summer, and Cortese reckons they'll come flocking if Redknapp is in before the transfer window??.

"Harry Redknapp back at Southampton? Now there's a populist move."

I don't hold a grudge, I just happen to think he's a highly overrated manager and a crooked weasel of a man. I also find it highly unlikely he will be appointed.

He just doesn't seem a Cortese type of man or a Cortese type of manager. The only thing going for him imo is he's high profile. But we are a small club to him and likely another stepping stone. He is not young and going to develop the club with the club. I can't imagine he would go along with the Cortese 'Southampton way' ethos. Ignoring the fact that he is crooked, he's illiterate...the complete opposite of Adkins and his new age, progressive management. Even if Cortese is looking to sack Adkins, I just can't see that he would go for Arry. I hope I'm not being naive in saying that. He would seem to me to be a quick fix and unless Cortese is getting really desperate (after only 8 games and we are hardly cut adrift) quick fix's don't appear to be in Corteses vocabulary from anything we have seen from him in the last 2 years.
