Harry now has a chance to be an example to Moddy and Bale!

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, Feb 9, 2012.

  1. What better way to say to Moddy, "Listen, son! You made the right decision to stay with Spurs, because this club is going places where Chelsea now fear to tread. How do I know that? Well, son, it's easy - because I'm turning down the England job. That's right, son! I'm staying at Spurs, I'm putting my faith in you and the lads, and we're gonna finish this job!"

Moddy & Bale, and all the boys will stay and re-double their efforts, we'll go on to win the league, and possibly the CL, and everything will be happy ever after.

The cynic in me just realised how good an opportunity this would be for Redknapp to negotiate a new contract, as I read this.
I hope you're right though, HIAG.

Exactly, unfortunately. Modric was out of the door in his own mind, a few short months ago - Harry or no Harry. It was Levy who rammed his arm up his back and forced him to stay. Don't bet against him trying it again unless we can show that we can match his ambitions, both financial, and achievement wise.

It is rumoured that Modric won't sign a new contract until he is sure Redknapp is staying. Could be a crunch time!

I think you killed it when you were banging on about van Persie's loyalty to Arsenal, Piskie.

<laugh> To be fair to him though, he's said nothing other than being 100% committed to Arsenal. Modric on the other hand ...... <whistle>

It always amuses me that Arsenal fans put the deceptive ahead of the honest.
Fabregas, Henry, Nasri and Adebayor all moped til they got the moves that they desired, yet two are vilified and two are heroes.
The duo that forced Arsenal to accept reduced fees are selfless angels! <laugh>

I agree but I guarantee Levy will hold out for a serious amount of compensation.

Can someone enlighten me on how this 'compensation' thing works, is it basically the same as a transfer fee for a player? I can't see why it shouldn't be...

Exactly, Piskie. This sums up the problem with your opinion perfectly.
You dismiss Redknapp's claim, yet you accept van Persie's, despite the fact that he's running down his contract.

Everything Pikie says is a WUM attempt...he tried it by saying Spurs hve spent massive amounts so Moyes would like to become manager...hoping we wouldnt notice his little dig.....and now this...blatent bolox from the one who is supposed to moderate the Arse board..in other words be the one who plays it fair...typical fork tongued goon

He's probably not honest enough to do so.
After all, he's claiming that he doesn't want to sign a piece of paper at the moment, because it's all a bit too much for him.
Who'd be silly enough to believe that though, eh?
