Harry Kane - Could He Become England's Greatest Ever Striker?

Discussion in 'The Premier League' started by Hoddle is a god, Sep 10, 2017.

  1. Kane's 101 goals - opposition breakdown
    Goals
    Opponent

    9 Leicester
6 Arsenal, Bournemouth, Stoke, West Brom
    5 Hull, Everton, West Ham
4 Asteras Tripolis, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Fulham, Norwich
    3 Sunderland, Swansea
2 AEL Limassol, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle, QPR, Southampton, Watford
1 Anderlecht, Besiktas, Brighton, Burnley, CSKA Moscow, FK Qarabag, Manchester United, Middlesbrough, Monaco, Nottingham Forest, Shamrock Rovers

The above is a breakdown of the HurraKane's goal distribution.

Even putting aside the 9 he scored against lowly Leicester (hey! they all count), this is a pretty startling statistic for a lad who has only recently started his Prem career.

What heights can this lad go on to achieve?

Please feel free to use this thread to eulogise about the Prem's current most gifted striker, and to speculate just how far he can carry his legendary status.

NOTE: No wumming, as always. Thanks.

You can't really count the 9 against Leicester mate.

  5. Personally, I'd like to see him score a few more against 'Pool.

By the way that 'Pool have been playing this season, I reckon he should be able to boost his tally.

He'll have to start scoring in major international tournaments first .. complete flop for both the U21s (when we were favourites) and at the Euros ... plus he failed to score against us in the season when it really mattered ....might have brought Spurs the EPL title ... which is unlikely to happen ever now.

Hes not a flop...no matter how hard you try to make it look like he is.

failed to score against you when it really mattered? Mate we are Spurs..every season is important. You won the league, yeah we get it..your players still want out. Anyway good luck in the Champions League this week Fosse..i'm sure your lads got a taste for it and cant wait to play in it again.

England? ...Vardy doesnt even get a look in it seems, how floppy is that?

Typical Southgate ... watch Drinky get a call up now he's at Chelsea ...

As for Harold ... I've merely answered Quentin's question ... likes of Shearer and Lineker made their mark in Euro 9, Italia 90 ...Harry will only come into consideration for 'England's best when he does the same ..to date 2 big tournaments, no goals ...them's the facts.

Yeah, that's right. Because it's all down to the HurraKane if England fail to get to the quarter finals of a major tournament.

No wonder people call you Bambi, mate! You are so naïve, at times!

No Quentin, it's about top players performing on the top stage when it matters .. you obviously can't see that ... which is why people call you Quentin. <laugh>
