That's according to his manager. The reason? Spurs are playing too many games due to being in more than one competition !
    Welcome to the Club !!!!!!!!!
Chelsea and the other regular top 4 teams have had this problem for years, and it really is a problem. The FA will do FA about helping out by rescheduling .
There are only 2 solutions that I can see.
    1. Have enough money to employ a squad which has the reserves as good as the first 11
    2. Prioritise which comps you are really after, and play the kids in the others.
I don't believe it is possible for any team to win all 4 comps anymore. FFP has ensured the rich teams will always have the advantage, by effectively freezing the status quo, so the little teams can never catch up.

    Anyone think differently?

Harry Kane is probably burnt out because he's not getting rested much. Yes the fixtures pile up when you do well in cups but their back up strikers are so poor which obviously doesn't help them.

I think the Europa League needs a major overhaul as well. To many pointless games in all corners of Europe before it gets even remotely worthwhile.

I think he said there is a danger he could be burnt out, not that he is. Had a nice rest last night. And despite "the miss" Soldado had a great game - 2 assists and a significant role in one of the other goals. Chadli and Eriksen have 15 league goals between them and others are now contributing, so he can probably sit out a few games. Fully agree on the Europa though.

What's the priority for Spurs at the moment? Top 4? Cups? Full strength for next weeks semi??

I'd say COC and Europa (because of the CL spot)

That would make sense, CL means so much funding it has to be a top priority of all clubs. By the way, I think your mob are heading in the right direction. Your manager is doing a fine job and the players are now showing their top form. You need a bit of strengthening, but who doesn't !! Your problems come from those who sit behind desks.

<ok> 2 steps forward 1 back sometimes, but travel is forwards. I think MP is the real deal and a manager that we will hope to keep for a while so that he can fully implement his style.

I'll wait and see what relegation fodder Southampton do after the CL wannabes stole all their best players and their coach.

I know you guys do very well in the League (Capitol One Cup) but if I was looking to revamp the football calendar, I think all PL clubs should opt out of the COC, to enable them to concentrate on the PL, FA Cup, European competitions and support for the national teams. IMO the League Cup should be merged with the Johnstone's Paint trophy or whatever it has become now. What about the place in Europe that the League Cup offers .... it goes to the 6th placed team in the PL. Frankly, the COC is a competition that the PL teams can do without. You guys have won the CL and Europa League so I don't think you would miss the COC!! As it is you face an irritating 2 legged affair with Liverpool and should you get through another annoying fixture (possibly Spurs) when minds should be 100% focused on getting to the next round of the CL.

I take your point and it could apply to some extent to the top 4 or 5 premier league clubs but below that, surely it would be great for a Newcastle or West Ham etc to go and win the league cup?? I'm amazed they don't go for it a bit more. A day at Wembley, trophy, European place etc. Realistically most premier league teams can only ever win a domestic cup so I wouldn't take one away from them.

No such thing as being tired or being burnt out imo. Anyone who says otherwise is a bitch
