Fantastic sight once again to kick off our carnival over 400 harleys parked up in town ,with a ride out after a couple of hours with a great send off from the town . lots of money raised for the RNLI
I ride a Kawasaki VN1500 which is a Harley copy ........ it doesn't have the same aura but it's an easier bike to own.
I can get more than a bag of jelly babies in the truck, and a good chance of making more than 5 miles without it conking out.
The bikers themselves chose the best show bike and the best rat bike overall ,this years winner of the show bike had spent nearly £50 grand on his and thats not including the purchase price ............
Nice one mate nah putting some chrome fork lowers on the front end plus new bars which is a right royal pain as all the wires get routed through them. I thought it would be a nice easy summer weekend job, but it's turning into a marathon.
I once built a chop based around a tuned GSX 750 and thought I'd be clever and hide all the wiring through the bars. I finished it, went out for my first ride, to get it MOT'd, and every time I turned the bars slightly the horn went off
Still thinking about it mate, but it will be at the end of this season if I do. I threaten to get rid every year but I always end up keeping it cos like most Harley owners, I have a lot of money invested in it.
Mine keeps blowing the ignition fuse on full lock to the right. Great things when all is well and the sun is shining, but horrible machines when things go wrong. Will post some pics when I get it all put back together.
