Can't blame Harley if he goes. I think he was brought in with an eye on us not making the Prem. I really can't see him getting a look in right now which is a shame for him as he's hugely talented. I've watched him play and he looks the business to me. He will definitely make an impact at Championship level. I'd actually prefer to send him out on loan but if he's making a permanent move good luck to him.

If this is true, what a huge disappointment for him.
I don't really understand this one. The management must have seen some real potential there,or else why bother signing him.To offload him just like that seems strange. Has there been a falling out perhaps?
Good luck to him, whichever way it pans out.

For goodness sake I hope this is a loan move.

Sure he was bought as a good championship player for this season, he is not premier class but a loan move suits everyone. Brighton get their man, he gets football at the level he signed on for, we get a year to assess whether he has what it takes for premier level if we stay up or get a championship hardened option is we go down.

Totally agree with the loan option. This is a talented player who could be a very useful asset to us in the future - worst case scenario, he would be an excellent player at NPC level if we went down and he's not costing a lot either.

Make no mistake, Gus Poyet wouldn't be the slightest bit interested in him if he didn't have talent. Poyet is hugely ambitious and is looking to do a Norwich and take Brighton straight up. Like us he only wants players who can play football the right way. BIG mistake, Brendan, if you let this one slip away.

We need players that can step up to the Prem level - are we really so sure that Harley can't, perhaps he's one who can. If he needs game time then why not a loan with the call-back option

I remember saying at the time I didn't really understand the transfer... I didn't quite see the point. Maybe it was a buy with the view we wouldn't be promoted. When I suggested before that he wouldn't make the jump from League 1 straight to the Prem I was shot down (mostly by Exeter fans) saying he was good enough for the Prem and would walk into our team.

I feel a bit for the guy, hope he gets a move to Brighton. Good club!

I really hope this is a loan move, what would be the point in buying him otherwise? lets see first if he can make the step up to the championship 1st!
