So if you are a millionaire with a Thames mansion you get weighed out.If you are disabled with a spare bedroom then just sling your hook.

Clip the wings of governments, don't give them the power to bribe their target electorate with state funds - if the Tories weren't pushing money towards some (fully insured) underwater fella with a double barrelled surname, Labour would be using it (+ whatever else they borrow and can't afford to pay back) to bribe the mass of lower-middle class lefties with tax credits.

The worst thing about the whole benevolent government racket is you have to listen to the losing side bitch because they are not getting something for nothing this term ^^^

    Diminishing returns.

The house prices will drop like a stone, they can't sell, and faced with ever increasing insurance premiums every time they get flooded. In a word, ****ed.

Well if they feel like ending it all there's no end of places to drown themselves.

That'll be why every city since the dawn of civilisation has been built on a river then?

The Fens are below sea level but the system of pumps and dykes keep it dry. If we can put in that infrastructure to protect farmland, I'm sure we'll find some way to prevent London becoming the next Atlantis. Sorry to disappoint our scotch cousins.

Half of London drowning could be what the UK needs.

I just looked up Datchet on Rightmove.Very ordinary semi detached around £300k.if you want detached £500k+.Presumably those flooded will be both uninsurable and unmortgageable. The values will fall but I bet by not a lot.Where I live houses regularly fall into the sea but there are still ****s buying them with the waves breaking at the end of the gardens.

Aberdeen never floods and never will.

Occasionaly The Dee breaks its bank but only one street gets affected. And its been pishing up here practically all year.

I was up on Monday and it was lovely weather. Sun was out all day, although it was a little nippy.

Got to fly in the helicopter taking a patient to the hospital.
