I said earlier in the week we'd get tonked and it would be an embarrassment. Happy to say I got it wrong and all in all it was an astonishing backs to the wall performance. So feel free to cover me in dog's abuse for not having the faith. That said, I was desperate for Cisse to play because he's capable of scoring out of nothing and he did the business again. One minor negative with Mark Hughes. Going into injury time, why didn't he make another substitution to frustrate and break the play up. Particularly when City equalised. WOuld have been the perfect time to take the sting out of the game and frustrate them madly by making a very slow substitution. Bit naive from Sparky, that. But who cares, we're staying up and that's all that matters!
I don't think you should be celebrating a game that we were winning in injury time and contrived to lose. You do deserve abuse for this.
Fair point. Well made. But was anyone else screaming at Mark Hughes to make a sub and take the sting out of the game when it went into injury time? Every other sod of a manager does it. Hughes you missed a trick
Good shout, hadn't even crossed my mind, maybe he heard the stoke result? Tbh don't care now. If you'd offered this at the start of the day I'd have jumped at it!
