I know managers have to be careful in what they say in interviews, but I'm getting tired of NW's smiling "we're happy to be here" comment after every match. If that's the message the players are getting, it's no surprise we're struggling. We're in the prem because we were the best and most consistent team last season and thoroughly deserve it. I think we'd be better off with a siege mentality. A bit of everyone and everything's against us, backs to the wall, all for one and one for all (and other mixed metaphors)!!! Get the team to be a bit less nice, to scrap for every ball, header, tackle and keep battling till the last second of every game and stop showing other teams more respect than they deserve. Stop letting other teams come on to us, we've been at our best when we've had a go, so let's start trying to cause them problems and maybe we'll have a chance of staying here. It'll be such a waste if last season's fantastic achievement was thrown away because we've been too nice and just come to enjoy the ride. Rant over - good to get it off my chest!!!
Warnock's post match interviews have got very tiresome. He always seems to be watching a different match to the rest of us.
I dont really bother listening to them anymore. Im pretty sure what he's saying to the public is different to what he really thinks. Not sure why just my only explanation.
