I hope Cerny reappears to do his annual bit of Paddy-baiting I wouldn't be surprised if he does. The sight of a St Patrick's Day thread might be too hard for him to resist
Cheers Tooting.....I take it that your wife got home from Cork ok....good timing on her part as Cork City had some bad flooding the following week... When we were over for the Burnley game we were mulling over the idea of going to Barnsley for the last game of the season to celebrate promotion and to sample some of the pies that wubba talks about....but that may have to be put on the back burner now if play off's are involved as that could be an expensive couple of games in a short period of time.....fancy a day out at Wembley..... We'll have to organise the planning committee and see what's do-able before season end.....Finglas will no doubt be over for a few games.....watch this space...
Happy St Paddys day..to all of you Hope to see you all soonish...but when (really enjoyed the france Ireland rugby match.,.......but still hearing from all my English workmates...how England are by far the best Northern Rugby nation...and a world cup is on its way
Happy St. Patrick's Day to our Irish R's who I imagine are still celebrating their Six Nations title victory on Saturday, so an ongoing party. I'm wearing a green shirt at work today.
Happy Paddy's day. I've spent a chunk of it trying to find an Irish pub in Kobe - there were 2 but both have been taken over, but I have been drinking stout with an Irish/German American so I count that as honouring the day. Night night.
The day gets better as Ireland beat Zimbabwe by 3 wickets in the T20 world cup match.....but they did make hard work of it needing 4 to win from the final over with 5 wickets in hand they lost 2 wickets and had to scamper a single of the last ball......bet a few pints will be downed later even though it is being played in Bangladesh.....
So that's nigh on 72 hours of hard celebrating then? Only the Irish could manage that!... All the best lads...
Irish R's meeting up in Hanleys bar claremorris co mayo, for forest game 12th April. All are welcome.
