wonder did he earn enough from last few years hawking round to live for rest of life? hopefully he's learn his lesson and has thought about doing some coaching or whatever to earn his crust from now on.
Some wonderful attributes, but as a left-back I thought he was the worst I'd seen in a Liverpool shirt - till recently.
Harsh. In his last year or so he was on the decline but he was a great player. Not brilliant defensively but did a job but he offer such a real threat and would be the more attacking FB while finnan and Arbeloa would be the solid option at rb
I thought at first he was good. But I dunno something knocked the hard edge off him after a season or two and he got less effective By 2005 really he was getting on for past it.
I remember in the champion league at Anfied against Chelsea he allowed a cross which resulted in a goal.
I remember Riise blasting a free kick vs. Man U and breaking Alan Smith's leg with the power of the shot.
That was the one when rather than just hit it with his right foot, he crouched on the ground and attempted to head it away with comical results. But I didn't laugh at the time.
