    Morning All,

Three days til the visit of Barnsley, lets drop O'Dea and replace him with Lees, and thats my team <ok>

Just wondering if Connely got injured, do we actually have a purpose made replacement? I know Leigh Bromby can play right back, but thats not his natural position. I really hope Grayson buys Lichaj in the January transfer window, Connely makes too many mistakes.

What is your favourite player that you remember playing for our great club, for me I would have to say either John Sheridan or Ian Baird, though in recent times, it would be Lucas Radebe.

    Nunez and Becchio for me,

Drop Keogh and McCormack also if Pugh is fit play him Sam looks disinterested to me and is a better impact sub!

    Agree Lees and Kissa CB

Thats not what you were sayin about Nunez last week <laugh>

Tho play him down the centre, he looked quite good. What impressed me was Sam, do we really need Pugh, maybe the money would be better spent on a quality right back and centre back. Wonder when Gimpel will make the bench???

Lees in for me for O'Dea.

Howson needs a big kick up the behind for me, not impressed with him at all this season as we have seen the "Mighty Whites 6 times live out here live this season and i have kept an eye on him, he drifts out of games too easy....he is not a captain.

    Oh Morning all

Morning Elland, morning YNBK. We haven't got a natural replacement for Connolly if he gets injured or suspended, we'd have to rely Bromby - square peg round hole!! But at least he'll give of his best. Much as I'd like us to get Lichaj, I think he's a regular for Villa at the moment. So little chance of him dropping a division.

Lees & Kisnorbo to start on Saturday, even more so now that O'Dea I think is suspended & AOB won't play again. Would like to see Bruce and Bromby on the bench - Bruce to cover for CBs & Bromby as an alternative, but also, a spare RB should the need arise.

On the midfield, I'd also like to see Sam play with Nunez sitting behind Becchio. Gives us plenty of attacking options. Put McCartney & Keogh on the bench. They look as they need a break.

I know mate but Nunez showed desire when he came on v Burnley! He looked like he wanted it and he helped up Becchios work rate!

I also think McCormack n Keogh need to be shown there places arent a given

I also disagree about Howson, if you watch him you can tell his job is the holding midfielder, he is forced to stay back by Graysons Formation and this gives Clayton the license to roam, the problem is Clayton and Howson are too similar types of player and we could do with getting Brown fit then play Brown n Clayton in CM and put Howson up top behind Becchio

Nunez was an arrogant idiot when he got subbed that time, but lookin back on it, he was showing his dissapointment at being subbed

    Morning all <ok>

Howson isnt doing the roll he was doing last season but he is playing well. He picks up the attacking midfielder well & tracks well which restricts him getting forward & noticed which is a shame as thats the strongest part of his game. I wouldnt say he is playing bad at all but he is being played out of position & still learning, him & Clayton look good together.

Also in terms of a right back, I am sure Grayson would throw Lees in there & play Kissa-Odea in the centre if Connoly got injured. Not ideal, but once again the cheap option!

Mornin Boggers, we should have snapped up Lichaj last season.. Would like to see Bruce and Gimpel on the bench. McCartney on the bench <yikes>

Wheres McCartneys name popped up from?

Bucks I agree with you I see the job Howson is doing because I played that role, hes not strong enough IMO but he is breaking play up! we seem to play **** when we don't play football from the back and kissa n Odea hoof it!

Lees tries playing football which I like,

Throw monty gimpel in now n we could **** him up long term, hes only 17

Sam was cutting in too much at either end of the pitch for me. Get him aware of that and working on it and he'd be brilliant down the left wing.

Lees has Gimpels spot this season, with a 5 man bench its too risky for him at the moment. Would like to see him get 10 mins or so in a cup game so he can get a feel for it & we can get a proper look!

I'd put Pugh next to Clayton rather than Brown.
