I was rather deflated on the way home from the game today; and very glad that I sit in the upper tier as I'm not sure I would have resisted the temptation to run onto the pitch and scream at Mr Foy today. (Big talk from behind a keyboard of course, in reality I'm far too boring and scared of the prospect of never watching my rangers again to follow through on that one.) To remedy my dour mood I started thinking of happy - but obscure - rangers memories to cheer me up.

One of my favourite memories is a funny one - I seem to remember a game back in League One (maybe 2003) against Crewe Alexandra when we went down to nine men and needed a win for any chance of automatics. When we went down to 9 fairly early on I expected an onslaught that would result in a thrashing. The onslaught came but we held on for a wonderful 0-0 result. I remember coming away from that game feeling delighted with the result and the effort from the boys!

Another of my favourite rangers memories is when Bircham scored in the last minute or so of a Brentford away game to sneak a draw. I quite like Brentford, but always fun to annoy the local rivals! No idea when this was however...I have a terrible memory for dates!

So, what are your favourite obscure rangers memories? Not the obvious ones, but the ones which are unique to you? I know we may have done this before, but a re-run might bring some much needed cheer.

Beating palace 2-1 at their place in our promotion year. We had the lead and they scored with 4 mins left and their lot were going mad singing all the usual "its gone quiet over there". Then Helguson rises before the keeper to stick one away with 30 seconds left - a goal that looked like a foul on their keeper so they were going crazy with fury! Love it!

Also the 2-2 draw at the cardiff city stadium in the same season at the end. We were singing your gonna loose in the playoffs and one cardiff fan couldnt take it and kept coming towards the away end getting increasingly angrier!
