well finally managed to get austar connected and am currently just enjoying being able to watch my team again. The last time I got to see them consistantly was when we got relegated (every goddamn game that season-so horrible but I coulnd't not watch). That was also the year my marriage broke up, not the happiest of times. So just had to say how very happy I am to not only see the lads play but to see them win too, woah there things are definitely looking up. There is a lot of pessimism on here some days but also the humour shines through. Thanks for keeping me in touch with all things Toon related. Hopefully now I get to see the games I can join in a bit more and have opinions. Was of course very impressed with sammi, but my god his legs are so thin I worried everytime someone went to tackle him in case he snapped. Does he normally play that well. Also, impressed with Vuckic, Cabeye, Saylor,Collo, and most of all Tim Krul what a prospect this lad looks. I kept thinking it does'nt matter if it goes to penalties as I felt really confident of his ability. My only disappointment was watching Tiote have a poor game after all the superlatives being thrown around all last season. I shall look forward to seeing him back to his awesome best. Looking forward to Fulham now !
Got the ball on the left flank and everybody started singing, "If Sammy scores we're on the pitch", and lo and behold he cut in and let fly and in it went.
Seems to be a combination of both, looks like he'll do a job no matter where he plays. Looks keener and more interested than Shola does. Wouldn't be surprised to see him take Shola's place.
