hey, we should have baked her a cake to celebrate..................................... errrrr, well perhaps not lol.
Strange how fickle football fans can be. During the Peter Grant, Glenn Rodent eras when we were at our lowest ebb, many fans (I have to include myself here), were calling for Dear Ol' Delia's head. It appeared at the time that she didn't have a clue how to run a football club. She then brings in David McNally, he saves her bacon and she once again becomes our saviour. Happy birthday old girl ..
I never doubted her, OH NO I DIDN'T!!! Yes she made a few errors of judgement, but, she always had and still does, have the club in her heart, and for that I will always love and support her! She saved our club, never forget that! ILD OTBC
Think we've all realised how lucky we are to have a Owner who actually has the club in her best interests. Not just to gain extra ££££. Look at Cardiff Red Dragons, I would hate for that to happen to us.
I won't forget, don't worry ILD ! I know she has saved our club with her financial investments for which we should all be eternally grateful. She may well have always had the best interests of the club at heart, but the fact remains that she didn't have a bloody clue what she was doing at the time and I include her husband and bloody Doomcaster in this too. IMO it was McNally coming in that really saved us and it has to be said it was Delia that brought him in, so indirectly we can thank her again
she's made a lot of errors during her tenure as a director at our club but you simply cannot fault her commitment or passion towards the club. everyone makes mistakes and thankfully she got it right by hiring the current chairman and ceo and for that she and her husband should be applauded. it can't have been easy for her, through tough times and good, especially as she is not mega-wealthy like many of her competitors, but even when it was a struggle and she got stick, i'd like to think that even those giving the stick (myself included) knew deep down that she only ever wanted the best for the team, even if her judgement and that of the board was sometimes clouded. she's never made mistakes intentionally, so as much as she deserved a bit of stick for getting things wrong, she totally deserves the adulation when things are going right because without her, we wouldn't have a club to support anymore. happy birthday ma'am
I agree, I hope she realises how much Norwich fans NOW appreciate her. McNally praises her and MWJ a lot and I think that's made fans realise what a good owner she is. I think we all probably had a right to criticise when we were being relegated but now we probably realise it was more Doomcaster and Munby advising her which was the downfall.
Probably pissed a lot of the time! I agree our recent sucess on and off the field has more to do with McNally than most of us will ever know! ILD OTBC
Oh they love it, sold their souls and it's fully endorsed by them By the way happy birthday delia, who's doing the cake ?
I actually thought when I seen Cardiff fans happy about it they were being sarcastic. Than I've heard they're serious, christ. Them and MK Dons are like Franchise United. Might aswell call themselves Dream Team and wear purple kits.
Yeah they are deadly serious and I call them the franchise team as well lol maybe delia will bake em a cake with franchise 2012 on it ?
Whats happening at Cardiff is truely shocking and very sad, these clubs have sold their souls for a rich man to play with. Blackburn & Rangers, QPR to some degree as well. I would hate that to happen to my team! ILD OTBC
