Where our American cousins celebrate the removal of the shackles of British tyranny...

How they forgot to remove them from the dark skinned fellows at the same time is a story for another day

At the end of the day, it was basically the British v the British with a few French chucked in for good measure.

I am sure some of them were. Anyway, it doesn't matter where they were born, my point is they were all "British" to a certain extent. Just like every single president of the USA(apart from one) has connections to Britain or Ireland.

Call it what you want, but not as if it was say Ugandans v Danish, where you could tell apart each side and they shared no heritage!

Very small amount of Norman blood in our genepool, bit of Roman, Viking, Anglo-Saxon and the rest, 60% comes from the original inhabitants of these islands: The English.

Little history lesson for you there.

The Taffs only became about, because of the Romans, so in reality they are still English.

What animal did The English evolve from then while the rest of us were wandering our way up from Africa?

Depends whether you're an Anglo-Jock e.g. Bell, Watt, Lister, Burns or a Paddy-Jock e.g. Ronald McDonald and the Hamburglar.

Your maw must have fallen for the old chat up line...

"Have you got any Scots in you?"
    "No"
    "Do you want some?"
