Loved what Alan Hansen said on motd last night, talking about the league he said we're not out of the title race yet,and Chelski won't catch us for 3rd because we're the better team.As for the chav's the freescoring Torres is a bigger flop the Shevchenko was at the moment.Even tim Howard's scored more league goals.
I saw that. In another comment, Hansen said that it was a battle for 4th between Chavs, Gooners, and Mousers, meaning that, in his professional view, we are good for 3rd at the very least. At long last, we have been given the recognition that we deserve. Let's hope that the Chavs, Gooners, and Mousers on this forum can be equally as honest and as magnanimous. I won't hold my breath, though, as I suspect that they are all still very much in denial, and will simply spoon-feed us with their usual crap that "it's all still to play for!"
according to the Chav's they are going to reel us in,started well, they have gone from 5 points behind to seven, that's what i call reeling us in
It makes me chuckle! One of the Chavs - I cannot remember who, but it was either Nobby202, Cooper or District Line - was giving it large, not so long ago, about how we always bottle it, and how only Chelsea knows how to maintain a push for the title, blah blah blah, bollocks bollocks bollocks. It really wasn't worth trying to argue with him, so I humoured him, and treated him like my pet fool
I have a sneaking suspicion that they are one and the same - after all it must be biologically impossible to have three people so similar and so stupid - unless they're triplets
But, Little Luke, it's a two-edged sword. All it takes is for £ity to fail to win even one of their "straightforward" matches and for us to beat either Liverpool or Arsenal away, and the pressure on £ity intensifies. I remember, when we finished 4th two seasons ago, almost clinching 3rd from the Gooners, all the wums came out at the appropriate juncture in the season with the "you've got a difficult run of games" bollocks, and we breezed through it. In fact, it made our season. I have absolutely no fear of the up-coming games. In fact, I am relishing the opportunity for us to silence the wums for good.
HIAG - Interesting reading on the chav Tick Tock, Tick Tock thread Such a shame that they're to scared of me to let me post on it too Bless the ickle chavlets.
I reignited that thread. Knew when I first read it I would have an opportunity to rub their noses in their comments!
It's quite sad really; they like to give it but they just can't take it. Well done for waving the flag, just be careful that they don't ban you too
As United have shown in the past, beating your closest rivals earn you no more points than anyother game. If we beat Newcastle, Everton and Stoke(easier said than done) then we can afford to drop more than 2/4 points in the other games and still be in it. Personally, I think Hansen was being a bit back handed. We're up there so he has to say something good about us but he went a bit far, as almost all the pundits have tended to do. 5 points is still a sizable gap and the gap's been measured on a day when City lose so of course it's going to look rosier for us but I don't rule out Chelsea or even Arsenal/Liverpool finishing above us just as I wouldn't rule out us winning the league. I suppose it's better than Lee Dixon, who stayed very quiet when we were just a few points off City but as soon as we slipped up was the first to pipe up with "I never thought they could win it".
Hansen did say that we have a "great" manager and a very strong team - a team that is better than Chelsea's. He also said that what we've got to do is keep our heads down and keep "chipping away" at the points, and see where it takes us. All of it true
I just bunged him on my ignore list, because my computer objected to his drivel being on my monitor...
