I hope this may be helpful to any Barnsley fans travelling to Derby by road for the game on 2/1/20, parking is available for away fans on 2 sites [100 and 400 yards from the stadium] at £6 per car/van [sorry no coaches].

Assuming most will travel via the M1, leave at Jct25 and head towards Derby on the A52, about 1 mile past the SPONDON/ASDA exit is the slip road to Pride Park, this is where the problems start, the whole of the area is being redeveloped and there traffic cones and restricted lanes in abundance.

Go past the North end of the stadium to the 3rd island and turn right into RIVERSIDE ROAD, the FRENGER SYSTEMS car park is about 60 yards on the right hand side, this site is more suited to the elderly and less able supporters.

For those who may wish to eat/drink continue along Riverside Road to the last unit on the left hand side, the PRIDE VETERINARY CENTRE car park is handier for the away friendly hostelries [ask an attendant for details]. After the game I would advise supporters in this car park to turn left when exiting and then left at the next two islands, you should then park up on the left hand side of the approach road to the stadium to await the barriers being removed, this is when the supporters coaches have cleared the stadium area.

Go past the stadium and at the last island turn right and go along the rear of the retail units to access the A52, take care as the lighting leaves a lot to be desired and you will once again have to do battle with the traffic cones.

I hope this helps, have a safe journey.<ok>

Just back into full training after an injury, hopefully he will be back in the squad for the Barnsley game.

He surprised many of our supporters by being selected for the Charlton game and turned in a tremendous performance especially after we were reduced to 10 men after just 16 minutes, that display should cement his place in the team for the remaining games this season.

I can see him playing alongside another of our ex-players Adam Webster at Brighton next season :emoticon-0148-yes:
