Hamza has signed a new 4 year contract. Great news as the lad gets better every game. Reminds me of Kante how he covers ground. Not many better CDM’s then Ndidi and Choudhury

Can genuinely see him making it huge. Quality English defensive midfielders aren’t around many places and I genuinely think he looks better than his only rival in Rice

Wonderful news. I get a bigger buzz out of academy players coming into the first team than any big signing.
I think we all do. We had a decent few come through atm with Chilwell, Choudhury and Barnes

But before them we struggled to bring people through. Between Chilwell and Andy King breaking through only Liam Moore came out of our academy system that made an impact on our team or having a good career elsewhere

But its exciting seeing players coming through now as it will only encourage more

On Choudhury his greatest weakness is also his biggest asset. Over eagerness to win the ball

When he first came into the first team he wasnt ready. It was the injury crisis that brought him into the side and he looks timid. I think Puel worked well with Hamza and deserves alot of credit for giving him chances and helping him

I think now with more experience, better players around him and Rodgers he can really kick on. But he has a real battle with Wilf in trying to get that shirt if Rodgers only wants 1 CDM

Amazing news, as said above how great is it having 3 genuinely local, academy players in the team! How many of our league rivals can boast that.
Aside from Kante, we could possibly have the next two best players in that role on our books

I see the Newcastle game has been switched to the Sunday for Sky. I hope this isn't Sky highlighting this game so they can bang on about Choudhury's tackle!!

Thought Schlupp was an academy player. Also Joe Dodoo but don't know what has happened to him

It was already on TV for the Saturday evening game but has been swapped to the Sunday with Man City’s game I believe as they play in the CL on the following Tuesday so can’t do Tuesday after Sunday apparently (with their really small, cheaply put together squad you know)

Forgot about Schlupp

Joe Dodoo didnt really break through. Scored a hat trick in the cup and was never seen again. Signed for Rangers then and didnt really make it there. Last I heard he was at Blackpool
